Déborah SALAZAR
Soprano
Deborah Salazar was born in 1994 in Dijon. She began her training at the children’s choir founded and directed by Yves Klein at the Conservatoire de Dijon, as well as in the Thierry Rosbach’s piano class.
She participates in the children’s choir at the Opéra de Dijon in the staging of Olivier Desbordes for Carmen of Bizet, Tosca of Puccini under the direction of Dominique Trottein, La Bohème with Jean-François Verdier, Elias de Mendelssohn with Joel Suhubiette and the Polotzsviennes de Borodine led by Pierre Cao.
After five years of studying with the bass Daniel Ottevaere, Deborah holds the Diploma National d'Orientation Professionnelle, unanimously 1st prize of improvement of the conservatory of Valenciennes, and of the diploma of concertist of the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. She has also benefited from the advice of musicians such as Leontina Vaduva, Claude Wessman, Georg Nigl, Marco Guidarini, Nina Uhari.
She won the First Melody Prize of the Bordeaux competition, the Prix Jeune Espoir of the Béziers competition, the 3rd Prize of the Bellan competition, the Award from Centre Français de Promotion Lyrique, as well as the young talent award of the Avignon Opera competition and the CFPL prize for the second time at the Clermont-Ferrand competition. She is also finalist in the Vincenzo Bellini International Belcanto Competition in 2016.
She also received the Odiot award at the Vincenzo Bellini masterclass of Belcanto in Gstaad, and the bronze medal of the city of Bordeaux.
On stage, she plays the Music in the «Plaisirs de Versailles» of Charpentier in the direction of Nicolas Zelinski, Leïla in the Pêcheurs de Perles at the Salle Cortot (m.e.s: Mireille Larroche), Kätchen at the Opéra de Massy in Werther (m.e.s: Paul-Emile Fourny, dir: David T. Heusel), Blonde at the Opéra de Clermont-Ferrand in a participatory version of the Rapture at the Serail.
She has also collaborated as a solo soprano in the ancient music ensemble Antiphona created by Rolandas Muleïka. She performed recitals at the Opéra de Bordeaux. Deborah is currently perfecting herself with Elena Poesina.
In November 2019, Déborah SALAZAR won the 1st Grand Prix of the Belcanto Vincenzo Bellini International Competition.
