Daniel Barda Trio

Jazz Band

Daniel BARDA, known for being the best jazz trombonist New Orleans in France (he was awarded the Sidney Bechet Prize of the Académie du Jazz in 1993) animates jazz evenings with relaxation and humour. Pivot of this exceptional trio, this extraordinarily complete artist (in addition to being the best French trombonist, he's also conductor, composer, arranger, pianist and performer), former of the Haricots Rouges Jazzband and is often compared to James Archey, Turk Murphy and Jack Teagarden, three of the great figures of classical American jazz trombone.

He surrounds himself here with a pianist and a clarinetist of very high level, for a trio full of enthusiasm and joy very communicative, knowing also to be discreet if necessary.

With a repertoire between the 20s and 30s, the trio takes us on a real time journey where we cross, by the detour of a sentence, the profile of Marlowe, the Manhattan of Woody Allen, the Fats Waller gouaille, some regulars of the Cotton Club or the echoes of a Berlin cabaret from the Roaring Years….

The group, in high demand, performs at many festivals and in concert, in France and abroad.
